9 Excellent examples of Digital Media to support Learning announced as finalists for the E u r h a p i t a b a b r e a t 2 0 1 2 - MEDEA Moving Images in Education
Teachers, students, academics, support staff, producers and anyone producing audio-visual material to support die wanderhure learning, projects submitted in the Competition for the Awards MEDEA. The MEDEA Awards recognize and promote innovation and good practice in the use of digital moving images and sound in education, as well as excellence in production and pedagogical design of rich multimedia educational resources. The 9 finalists for the 2012 MEDEA Awards were announced on October 22 and are (in alphabetical order): All That Jazz from Fundacion Universidad Carlos III (Spain) And the Oscar goes to ... the 5th Primary School of Alexandroupolis (Greece), die wanderhure Flying Start from the University of Leeds (UK), Historiana - your gateway to the Past EUROCLIO - History Teachers' Union (Holland), Il Tempo del Girotondo by Hyperfilm srl (Italy), Technical animations from the Hill School (Greece) , Quand la colere fait tomber les masques from the University of Paris 1 (France), Schoolovision of Elementary School Yester (United Kingdom) and SignMedia from the University of Wolverhampton (United Kingdom).
This year the competition attracted die wanderhure 213 entries from 32 countries. The winner die wanderhure will be announced during the Awards Ceremony MEDEA, which will be held Wednesday, November 14 during the Conference Media & Learning Conference 2012 in Brussels. There will be two major awards, die wanderhure one for each category and each winner will receive a statuette MEDEA. There will also be two additional awards: An European MEDEA Awards will be given to project, production or initiative that promotes European cooperation A category in which there were 54 entries. The second special award for the category E UROPEAN Year for Active Ageing die wanderhure and Solidarity between Generations, as declared in 2012, where there were 37 entries.

The finalists were selected by a committee consisting of 90 experts in Digital Media to support teaching and learning from 32 countries who evaluated the MEDEA entries in late September and early October.
