The first, in what has to be one of our highlights of the fall, we will host Sebastian Faulks at an event at Oxford Town Hall, Tuesday, Sept. 11. This will be the first chance to get your hands on 'new
book,' Faulks a possible life ',
a novel that explores the chaos left by love, pain and loyalty. As one of our most talented writers and a literary heavyweight, Faulks is a fascinating speaker. This event is not to be missed.
Thursday September '20, is an event of one of the most influential journalists yooks of the twentieth century. Polish journalist and writer, Ryszard Kapuscinski was a fearless detective with a wide range to his curiosity. His report led him to postcolonial Africa, for revolutionary Iran and the military yooks dictatorships in Latin America yooks and Soviet Russia. His work featured during the Cold War, also guaranteed the attention of the CIA. The most literary of our workshop takes moody literary landscapes of Thomas Hardy 'Tess of the D'Urbervilles' as a starting point. You are going to paint your own landscapes using ink, watercolor and wax resist techniques, led by the brilliant local artist, Kieran Stiles.
